All sport places high demands on the body, which can result in injuries, such as muscle strains that are common among athletes of all ages and levels. These injuries typically happen during activities that involve sudden movements, such as sprinting, jumping, landing, pivoting, or lifting.
Whether mild of severe, proper management of sport injuries is crucial for a full recovery and to prevent further injury. Physiotherapy plays a key role in this rehabilitation. Your physiotherapist will guide you through a structured program that includes strength exercises, and functional training as well as sport specific rehab to restore strength, power, and agility. Your physio can also work with you on alternative training options so that you can stay as fit as possible while you recover. Images by www.freepik.com
