Nicky came to Australia on a working holiday visa when she was 29, and fell in love with the bush and a man. Nicky originally qualified in London. Over 8 years at two major hospitals, she worked in everything from orthopaedics to gynaecology, paediatrics, neurology, geriatrics, intensive care, hydrotherapy and with people undergoing sex changes. Nicky has run a private practice, undertaken several Maitlands Mobilisations courses, plus additional neurology training in the Bobarth method. She has participated in two podiatry courses, including lower limb bio-mechanics; a course focusing on the importance of the diaphragm for stabilising the trunk when moving peripherally; further learning in dry needling/acupuncture: and recently an update on the vestibular system and balance/dizziness. Since moving to the Coast she has practiced in aged care and been a member of the A.C.E.S (aged care educators support) group, mainly working in out-patients, with patients from ages 2 to 97! - NICKY CHESHIRE
