Kath holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Newcastle and joined the Kariong Physiotherapy team in 2023 after completing her clinical placement with us in 2022. A Kariong local, she has a long-standing connection to the community and a deep passion for improving the well-being of her patients.
With her rich background in dance, Kath has an intense interest in anatomy, movement, and biomechanics which informs her practice and allows her to bring a unique perspective to physiotherapy. Kath's broad clinical knowledge includes musculoskeletal aches and pains, back, shoulder, knee, hip, and ankle injuries, as well as neurological conditions. She is dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and improve their understanding of their bodies. Kath has a special interest in working with young dancers. Her first-hand experience, starting at age 4 and continuing through to her first few years at university, helps her address the specific needs of dancers as they progress through their training and development. |
Kath’s approach to physiotherapy is holistic, combining manual therapy, personalised education, and targeted exercise to guide patients through their condition and recovery, help patients achieve their goals and return to the activities they love.
In addition to her physiotherapy practice, Kath enjoys group fitness classes, exploring the Central Coast, and has recently returned to dance classes.
