Dance

Physiotherapy plays a crucial role in supporting young dancers during their training. For young dancers’ developing bodies, physiotherapy can help to prevent and rehabilitate injuries, as well as guide strength and conditioning to address the specific needs of dancers as they progress through their training.

Because of the high demands of dance during the peak period of physical development, young dancers are at particular risk of hip, knee, and foot conditions. Physiotherapists have a role in picking up these issues before they become serious and providing advice on how to manage these conditions.

With a long dance history herself, our physio Kath has a special interest in treating young dancers. She is passionate about addressing their unique needs so that they can continue their training and become the best dancer they can be without aches, pain or injury holding them back.
